An Ideal Candidate:
An ideal candidate is an IP professional skilled in patent searches, freedom-to-operate analysis, and patent landscape evaluation, with the ability to interpret global patent data and regulatory updates. They should support patent drafting, manage IP databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while contributing to new product identification and strategic insights.
Key Competencies:
- To conduct Freedom-To-Operate analysis, prior art & patentability search searches on various databases for API, Peptides, intermediates & KSMs
- To determine estimated generic entry/Day-1 launch details for under development project
- To search patent databases of various countries to retrieve equivalent patents of different territories
- To prepare patent landscape report by analysing full patent families and summarizing their claims and specifications
- To analyse and interpret file wrappers/histories of patent and patent applications of different geographies
- To prepare polymorph reports for polymorph selection/suggestion for under development projects
- To assist in patent drafting, filling & prosecution
- To handle IP queries from internal stakeholders & outside customers
- Tracking new patent publications, litigation updates
- To track new drug approvals, regulatory updates related to ongoing projects & competitive intelligence
- To maintain internal IP database for project status and IP fillings
- New product identification & selection activities
- Support to R&D, BD, RA, PM teams
