An Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience as a detail-oriented Mortgage Default Servicing Analyst with knowledge of the U.S. Mortgage Default Servicing process, preferably Judicial Foreclosure.
The role involves managing default mortgage accounts, reviewing legal and mortgage documentation, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, investor, and insurer guidelines. The candidate should have experience handling foreclosure timelines, reviewing loan files, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders involved in the default servicing process.
Key Competencies:
1)The candidate should have a strong understanding of the U.S. mortgage default servicing lifecycle, including delinquency, foreclosure, and loss mitigation processes.
2)Familiarity with judicial foreclosure procedures, timelines, and legal documentation in judicial states is preferred.
3)The ability to review and analyze mortgage documents such as Deed of Trust, Assignments, Lis Pendens, Title reports, and Judgments is essential.
4)Knowledge of federal, state, investor, and insurer guidelines related to mortgage servicing and foreclosure is required.
5)The candidate should be skilled in reviewing loan files for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to servicing timelines.
6)Experience in managing multiple default loan accounts while tracking milestones and foreclosure timelines is important.
7)Proficiency in generating reports, analyzing loan status, and monitoring recovery or settlement progress is necessary.
8)The candidate should be able to coordinate effectively with attorneys, trustees, investors, insurers, and internal teams.
9)Strong attention to detail when reviewing documents, updating systems, and ensuring compliance is required.
10)Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to resolve issues during the default servicing process, are essential.
