Adecco drives rural employment, set to create 6,000 jobs in Uttar Pradesh

Hathras, 27th May 2025: Adecco India, the subsidiary of global talent advisory and workforce solutions leader, the Adecco Group, has launched a multi-phase rural employment initiative in Uttar Pradesh with the goal of creating over 6,000 jobs in the next four months. Phase 1 of this effort began with a large-scale job fair held in Hathras, offering over 1,500 employment opportunities for the infrastructure, financial services, electronics manufacturing and other key sectors. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Chemankotil, Country Manager, Adecco India.

This job fair has been organised to connect skilled and semi-skilled talent, including ITI. diploma holders, 12th-pass candidates, and graduates, with immediate employment opportunities, providing an important platform for freshers, early-career aspirants, and experienced candidates to launch or grow their careers within their home state. By focusing on the local hiring for local deployment model, Adecco helps minimize migration-related challenges, further strengthening community cohesion and expanding economic participation at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Sunil Chemankotil, Country Manager, Adecco India, said: "This multi-phase hiring drive, targeting 6000 jobs, marks a significant shift from the typical model that often requires candidates from Tier II and Tier III towns to relocate for job opportunities. The initiative is driven by the strategic mandates and trust of our clients who are undertaking key projects in the state. This is a crucial step towards building sustainable, locally anchored career pathways for the youth in rural Uttar Pradesh. Our efforts are aligned with a vision of equipping the youth with skills and inclusive avenues that make the future work for everyone.”

Over the next three months, similar employment drives will be organised in key districts including Mainpuri, Kashi, Agra, and Prayagraj. In parallel, Adecco is offering thousands of additional opportunities for candidates open to relocating across Uttar Pradesh and other regions, through its extensive network of leading Indian and multinational corporate clients.
