I'm excited to be recruiting for an Authorised Person - Electrical on behalf of a leading organisation supporting the safe and reliable operation of a mission-critical data centre environment in Grange Castle.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to work within a highly technical environment where safety, reliability and operational continuity are critical.
🕐 12-hour rotating shift pattern | Grange Castle | Data Centre
What You'll Be Doing:
✅ Monitor and operate critical electrical systems to maintain continuous service
✅ Respond quickly to alarms, incidents and abnormal operating conditions
✅ Carry out and oversee LV switching and electrical isolations
✅ Issue and control Permits to Work and manage safe systems of work
✅ Carry out inspections of switchgear, distribution systems and backup power infrastructure
✅ Support planned maintenance and testing of electrical and backup power systems
✅ Supervise third-party contractors and ensure compliance with site safety procedures
✅ Maintain accurate operational records and report on asset performance
✅ Provide detailed shift handovers to ensure seamless operational continuity
What's Needed:
✔ Recognised Level 6 electrical trade qualification or equivalent
✔ Experience within a mission-critical, industrial, utilities or power generation environment
✔ Strong practical experience with electrical distribution systems
✔ Experience with switching, isolation and permit-to-work systems
✔ Familiarity with UPS systems and battery installations
✔ Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and electrical schematics
✔ Confident responding to time-sensitive electrical events
✔ Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
✔ Good digital literacy and experience using electronic maintenance/monitoring systems
