About the Opportunity
*Our client, a global leader in financial services and investment technology, is seeking a talented Senior Data Modeler / Data Analyst to join their Asset Management Technology team in Galway.

The Role
*As a Senior Data Modeler / Data Analyst, you will partner with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and database professionals to design and implement data solutions that support critical business functions.
*You will be responsible for analysing business processes, understanding data flows across operational and analytical platforms, and developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models that are scalable, reusable, and aligned to enterprise standards.
*This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic data initiatives while working within a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
*Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and identify data-related challenges and opportunities.
*Analyse business processes, source systems, integrations and data flows across the enterprise.
*Evaluate data requirements, use cases and solution specifications.
*Identify and resolve complex data issues throughout project lifecycles and production environments.
*Provide recommendations and solutions to address data gaps and improve data quality.
Data Modelling & Data Design
*Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models across multiple business domains.
*Design scalable data structures for operational systems, data warehouses, data lakes and analytical platforms.
*Document and present data solutions to stakeholders and technical leadership teams.
*Promote reuse of enterprise data assets and common data APIs.
*Support metadata management and data cataloguing initiatives by mapping technical and business terminology.
*Research and recommend emerging data modelling approaches, tools and methodologies.
Technical Leadership
*Ensure data solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.
*Work closely with architects, DBAs and product teams to develop scalable and sustainable data designs.
*Drive best practices in data governance, modelling, documentation and reuse.
*Identify opportunities to leverage existing enterprise data models and reduce duplication across projects.
Required Qualifications
*Ideally Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management or a related discipline.
*Extensive experience in data analysis, data modelling and database development.
*Strong experience in:
oData Modelling
oData Profiling
oData Warehouse Design
oPL/SQL Development
oData Integration and Data Loading Concepts
oData API Design and Implementation
*Experience analysing operational systems and understanding complex data ecosystems.
Technical Skills
*Hands-on experience with SAP PowerDesigner or comparable data modelling tools.
*Strong understanding of:
oRelational databases
oDatabase development lifecycle
oData architecture principles
oData governance and metadata management
*Experience designing scalable data solutions across transactional and analytical platforms.
*Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and cross-functional delivery teams.
Advantageous Experience
*Exposure to the Investment Management, Asset Management or broader Financial Services sector.
*Experience working within large-scale enterprise data environments.
*Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud technologies and enterprise integration patterns.
