Job Title: Business Development Manager (Medtech)
Location: Galway, Ireland (Candidate must be based in Galway or close by)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Working Model
Travel Requirement: Candidate must have own car for travel around Ireland (mileage/expensed). There is also international travel to US, Europe and UK (approx 6 times a year).

They are a pioneering late-stage Medtech startup based in Galway, Ireland. Specializing in providing innovative sales and marketing services to clients across the medical technology industry, including contract manufacturers, OEMs, component manufacturers, sub-assembly manufacturers, and CDMOs (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations), they're reshaping the landscape of medical device while fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Job Description:
As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the medical technology sector. While there is some account management, the role primarily focuses on business development, making it ideal for a 'hunter' mentality. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for client interactions, providing strategic guidance, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations, including contract manufacturers, OEMs, component manufacturers, sub-assembly manufacturers, and CDMOs.
-Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with client objectives and delivering on commitments.
-Drive business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities within the Medtech industry.
-Conduct regular meetings and check-ins with clients to review performance metrics, discuss upcoming initiatives, and identify areas for improvement.
-Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert insights on industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices.
-Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts
-Track and analyze account performance metrics, including revenue growth, client satisfaction scores, and retention rates.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
-technical sales experience a necessity
-Proven track record of success in business development/account management client services roles within the MedTech or related industry, with a strong focus on business development.
-Strong understanding of the MedTech landscape, including industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients and stakeholders.
-Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.
-Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
**Must have own car for travel within Ireland
Package:
An excellent package is available for the successful applicant, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This includes competitive base salary, performance-based bonus/commission and matched pension contributions.
