About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Geological Engineer to lead and support geological exploration, resource evaluation, and mine production activities at our gold mining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mineral exploration and geological modeling, along with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Geological Exploration & Resource Evaluation
- Lead geological exploration work in gold mining areas; develop exploration plans based on metallogenic principles and oversee field mapping, profiling, drilling layout, and related operations to ensure exploration quality.
- Collect and organize primary geological data, including core logging, sample analysis, and statistical processing; conduct 3D geological modeling and resource estimation using professional software with high data accuracy.
Technical Reporting
- Prepare geological survey reports, resource estimation reports, and other technical documentation to support mine development planning, mining design, and production decision-making.
Production Geology
- Monitor geological conditions during mine production; conduct stope geological logging and analyze orebody morphology and grade variation to guide mining optimization and control ore dilution and loss rates.
Geological Safety & Risk Management
- Perform geological hazard inspections; monitor hydrogeological and engineering geological changes; assist in designing water-control plans, slope stability measures, and other geological hazard prevention and emergency response solutions.
Data Management
- Maintain and archive geological data; build and manage a comprehensive geological database ensuring completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with mining, surveying, and mineral processing teams; provide geological technical support; participate in exploration–mining reconciliation and technical problem-solving to enhance resource utilization efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geological Engineering, Mineral Exploration, or related fields.
- Strong professional knowledge and skills aligned with the responsibilities of the role.
- Familiarity with relevant domestic and international industry policies and standards.
- Proficient in computers and office software, including Excel and PowerPoint; experienced with geological modeling and analysis software.
