Assistant IT Operation Manager
Our client is a well known company in Hong Kong and they are looking for a Assistant IT Operation Manager to cope with their business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main IT liaison for both the corporate office and retail outlets, working closely with local business owners, Onitsuka Tiger headquarters IT, and third‑party suppliers to ensure IT services support business objectives.
- Deliver daily IT operations and support, including helpdesk assistance, fault resolution, and upkeep of networks, Wi‑Fi, point‑of‑sale systems, devices, operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux), virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), and business applications across office and store locations.
- Oversee the stability and security of retail technology: continuously monitor systems and networks, take proactive steps to prevent incidents, manage procurement and lifecycle of IT assets, and ensure adherence to data protection and regulatory standards in Hong Kong.
- Drive or contribute to IT projects and digital initiatives: collect and interpret business needs, define technical requirements, manage project delivery and quality, coordinate system upgrades or enhancements with HQ and vendors, and assess the return on technology investments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, provide user training, communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences, and collaborate with the IT team to support ongoing operations.
Requirements
- University degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years’ professional experience in information technology.
- At least three years’ experience managing projects, capable of juggling multiple initiatives and priorities within a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.
- Practical experience administering Windows, Mac OS, Linux environments and virtualization (VMware), plus solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking; prior support experience with retail POS and ERP platforms preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for interacting across organisational levels and external partners.
- Flexible and resilient to changing business requirements; proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
