Health & Safety Advisor (North)

Location: (Hybrid, with travel to schemes and other offices as required)
Salary: £40,316 per annum (including car allowance)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

About the role

We're looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to support and improve colleague safety across the North. You'll ensure our health and safety management system meets legal requirements and that effective risk controls are in place.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering health & safety training programmes


• Advising and supporting colleagues across your regions


• Conducting audits to monitor and improve performance


• Supporting accident investigations


• Providing timely health & safety advice to colleagues and customers

This is an exciting time to join, with ongoing changes in social housing regulation. You'll play a key role in improving safety standards and supporting the development of policies and procedures.

Salary

• Spot salary: £39,066 per annum (for candidates fully meeting requirements)


• Up to 10% below spot rate if developing, with clear progression


• Car user allowance from £1,250 per annum

About you

Essential:

• NEBOSH General Certificate


• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation


• Experience of internal auditing


• Understanding of safety considerations within housing


• Proactive, accountable approach with strong communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience within the housing sector


• Customer-focused mindset


• Familiarity with health & safety management systems
