Adecco is actively seeking a Transmission Lines Design Engineer to join our client’s team in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $130,000–$170,000 per year. The successful candidate will lead the design and engineering execution of transmission projects, supporting both overhead and underground medium to high-voltage systems.

- Interpret codes, standards, and client requirements to develop optimized design criteria
- Produce and manage accurate PLS-CADD / TOWER / POLE models for projects
- Develop scopes of work, material specifications, and construction specifications
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff
- Lead capital projects: feasibility studies, scope definition, cost estimation, preliminary and detailed designs
- Track and report on engineering deliverables, costs, and schedules to senior management
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Civil, Stations, Survey, etc.) within PHASOR
- Prepare proposals for transmission line projects, including cost and budget estimates
- Conduct site investigations and field reviews as needed
- Review and seal final design prints for energization of transmission projects
- Participate in technical meetings with contractors, clients, and other disciplines
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada
- Minimum 8 years of relevant transmission or power systems engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (CEC, CSA, IEEE, IEC, CIGRE, ANSI, NEMA)
- Experience with industrial and/or utility projects
- Proficient in PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, TOWER, POLE)
- Experience in electrical studies (EMF, corona losses, grounding design, lightning performance) is an asset
- Construction or construction support experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
