Adecco is currently hiring a Timekeeping Specialist for a full-time, temporary opportunity in Cardinal, ON.

In this role, you will support the payroll department by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls.

Key responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Prepare and process timekeeping data for weekly and bi-weekly payroll

  • Ensure accuracy of hours worked, overtime, and applicable deductions

  • Complete weekly audits to reconcile timekeeping data and payroll balancing reports

Issue Resolution & Communication:

  • Act as main point of contact for supervisors on payroll issues

  • Resolve discrepancies and verify payroll data integrity

  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with Shared Services and the Center of Excellence to ensure timely processing

  • Assist in preparing payroll reports and management summaries

  • Document payroll standard operating procedures for hourly and salaried employees

Administrative Support:

  • Support various administrative duties within the payroll department

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in accounting or finance is an asset

  • Experience in payroll processing or related roles is required

  • Familiarity with ADP Globalview and UKG (Kronos) preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and ability to manage confidential information

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Experience working under union contracts considered an asset
