Adecco is looking for a Timekeeping & Payroll Clerk to join a well-established manufacturing plant in Cardinal, ON. In this role, you will support the payroll department by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. The ideal candidate has experience with payroll systems such as ADP GlobalView and UKG (Kronos), strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with union contracts is a strong asset.

  • Location: Cardinal, ON

  • Job Type: Full-time | Temporary

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30am - 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all plant employees.

  • Act as the main point of contact for supervisors regarding payroll-related concerns.

  • Ensure accurate recording of time and payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, and deductions.

  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Conduct weekly audits to ensure alignment between the timekeeping system and payroll reports.

  • Work closely with the Center of Excellence and Shared Services to maintain payroll accuracy.

  • Generate time and payroll reports for management review.

  • Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.

  • Document standard payroll procedures for both hourly and salaried employees.

  • Support the payroll department with various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset).

  • Previous payroll processing experience is required.

  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
