Adecco Engineering & Technical is searching for a Technical Service Manager for our client, a leader in their sector, to support operations in Mississauga, ON.  This position supports the objectives of the Service team, and in particular, providing technical information and training to dealers/customers. REQUIREMENTS – Technical Service Manager

  • 5+ experience in vehicle diagnostics, as well as good understanding of truck components including advanced diesel engines and electronics

  • Licensed Automotive / Truck Technician (strong asset)

  • Leadership and management skills with demonstrated abilities to resolve diverse problems, to understand the importance of structure, and to complete critical tasks in a timely manner

  • Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to details despite frequent interruptions

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

  • Occasional national/international travel required

RESPONSIBILITIES - Technical Service Manager

  • Monitor and support the trainer in various training activities.

  • Design technical training sessions and prepare handout material

  • Plan and conduct classroom / shop training sessions for dealer technicians

  • Conduct classroom / shop training sessions for national fleet technicians

  • Create and distribute Module Training programs with online testing)

  • Monitor dealer technician training achievements (online and classroom)

  • Prepare and distribute plaques and awards

  • Maintain and improve the training facility

  • Conduct annual Skills Competition

  • Oversee and enhance Technical Support Activities:

  • Assistance to Regional Field Service Managers

  • Assistance to dealer technicians by phone/email

  • Assistance to Parts and Sales Departments

  • Monitor and support Technical Reporting and Bulletin postings

  • Assist in processing Recall Campaigns
