Special Advisor - Military
Adecco is currently recruiting for a Special Advisor for a 12-Month contract with client based in Ottawa, Ontario. There is the potential for a contract extension of 6-months on the initial term. The opportunity is On-site for the duration of the contract The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Security Clearance or be eligible for it.
The Special Advisor will have the following responsibilities:
Produce a draft Strategic Campaign Plan for CDS signature, focused on the Defence of Canada.
Advance the objectives of the Critical Asset List (CAL) – Spiral 2, which include:
(1) operationalizing the CAL;
(2) updating the CAL with Air/Maritime and ONSAF/Arctic assets;
(3) mapping the Critical Infrastructure across DND/CAF;
Lead and organize Governance Committees for which SJS/DGP is a Chair, Co-Chair, or as directed. These include, but not limited to, the Defence NORAD Steering Committee (SC), The CAL SC, the Military Cooperation Committee, etc.
Maintain accuracy of Continental Defence files and/or tasks. Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and CAF correspondence research and analysis (letters, memoranda, minutes etc.). Conduct oral presentations of subject matter at hand.

The Special Advisor must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Completed post-secondary, preferably in a related field OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training;
10+ years of experience in Senior advisory and support responsibilities;
4+ years in the past 10 years supporting DND/CAF in a strategic capacity;
Well experienced in managing, manipulating, and presenting large datasets.
Available between 7:30-17:00 Monday-Friday during work hours;
Available to attend work meetings outside of standard hours;
