About Our Client:
Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Site Superintendent to oversee our client's residential single family construction projects. Our client is one of Edmonton's top home developers. They are building 13 communities across the Edmonton region.
Job Overview:
The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site for the construction of single-family homes in the Edmonton region. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Supervision: Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and trades to ensure quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets or exceeds the company’s quality standards, building codes, and specifications.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, with a focus on single-family home construction.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential construction processes, Alberta Building Codes, and local regulations.
- Skills: Proficient in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate construction teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Certification: Valid First Aid/CPR and safety certifications (e.g., COR, WHMIS) are an asset.
