Responsibilities:
Negotiate collective agreements, mediate labor disputes and grievances, and provide advice on employee and labor relations
Conduct and lead internal investigations
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within client groups
Support execution of HR strategies, policies, procedures, and programs
Respond to HR inquiries from management and employees; escalate higher-level matters to Director of HR
Facilitate day-to-day employee/labor relations, including complaint resolution and disciplinary actions
Provide recruitment and onboarding support for hourly and salaried personnel
Assist in implementing HR initiatives and process improvements
Perform other HR projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field
CHRP designation or working towards CHRP is an asset
10+ years of specialized Labour and Human Resources experience in hands-on HR roles
Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights, and Labour legislation
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented self-starter with strong professionalism and diplomacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
