Senior Indigenous Relations Advisor
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated Indigenous Consultation Advisor to support meaningful engagement and consultation with Indigenous communities across our major project initiatives. This role is integral to ensuring our consultation strategies align with regulatory expectations and corporate values, while fostering respectful, transparent, and collaborative relationships with Indigenous partners.
Pay Rate: $80.00/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:
Collaborates with internal departments—including Regulatory, Integrity Management, Lands, EHS, and the Major Projects Office—to develop Indigenous consultation strategies that align with project scope, regulatory requirements, and timelines.
Supports the planning and facilitation of engagement and consultation activities, such as meetings and round tables.
When directed, liaises directly with the CER or relevant provincial permitting agencies to clarify consultation expectations and address Indigenous concerns.
Provides regular updates during internal team meetings, highlighting potential risks to project execution. Under the guidance of Indigenous Relations (IR) Management, offers ongoing advice to effectively respond to Indigenous feedback.
Maintains comprehensive consultation records for submission to the CER or other permitting authorities, ensuring all external communications are tracked and documented.
Leads the implementation of consultation processes with Indigenous communities, serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and coordinating meetings as necessary.
Prepares consultation materials and correspondence in collaboration with technical teams across project-specific disciplines.
Ensures consultation and communication records are accurate and up to date to support permitting and regulatory compliance.
Works with Supply Chain Management to identify and promote contracting opportunities for potentially affected Indigenous groups.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Indigenous Studies, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Social Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Indigenous consultation, engagement, or related regulatory roles, preferably within the natural resources or energy sectors.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g., CER, provincial permitting processes) and Indigenous rights and consultation principles.
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain respectful relationships.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment.
Willingness to travel as required to support engagement activities.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
