Senior HR Generalist job opening in Toronto, ON – bilingual English/Mandarin

Adecco Professional is currently partnering with a dynamic, established client who is now working to expand and set up operations in Canada.  They are looking to hire for a Senior Human Resources Generalist job opening in Toronto, ON to start – the individual must be bilingual English and Mandarin. This full-time, permanent career opportunity is best suited for an experienced, driven, hands-on HR professional with at least 5 years direct HR Generalist experience to bring to the table as you help set up HR and recruit/build the Canadian team. This individual is the sole HR professional for Canada and will collaborate with the Global HR team. The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for all the HR related functions from the ground up and all the individual to establish new strategic ideas for the Country. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, with a keen focus on success in establishing and building – someone still collaborative and flexible.

Some of the responsibilities of the Senior Human Resources Generalist job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:

· Initiating all recruitment requirements; ensuring interaction and communication with related parties; this includes consulting on market rates, trends and candidate experience
· Onboarding, training, technology set up and more for new hires and eventually ongoing/updated training to staff
· Employee relations from all HR related angles and ensuring staff understand any new/updated policies and procedures clearly
· Research and establish benefit and compensation programs for staff
· Health and Safety protocols to be established and set up
· Take lead on any HR initiatives and projects within the organization bringing new and fresh ideas to the table
· Strategic planning and sharing/presenting to leadership team ideas, concerns, updated legislation etc.
· Ensure all Provincial and Federal employment legislation and compliance is adhered to and communicated
· Assist employees with any HR related questions
· Additional duties as necessary and will expand as the team builds

Some of the key requirements to be considered for the Senior Human Resources Generalist job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:

· At least 5 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager capacity; strong asset to those who come from a start-up or sole HR professional set up
· Completed post-secondary education; completed or pursuing your HR designation
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual English and Mandarin is required
· Advanced and full knowledge of all Canadian legislation related to HR functions – ESA, Health and Safety, etc.
· Confident, driven, hard-working, flexible – you have a very hands-on approach to get the job done
· Someone who takes initiative and is passionate about the how this position set and works in a Global firm
