As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in financial planning, modeling, process documentation, and general ledger investigations while developing both standard and ad hoc reports. Your expertise will drive critical decision-making processes and support R&D operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Track, report, and analyze program and non-program reporting regularly

  • Utilize systems like TM1 and QAD to analyze actuals and investigate variances

  • Collaborate with Operations Finance to provide insights on material and cartridge costs charged to R&D

  • Build presentations and consolidate data for rLBE reviews and long-term forecasting for OEM

  • Analyze expenditures by category at the general ledger and cost center levels, identifying key variances

  • Prepare analytical models for ad hoc analyses to evaluate financial impacts

  • Build relationships with other departments to gather necessary data for analyses

  • Identify improvement areas and collaborate with Finance and IT to enhance efficiency

  • Prepare accruals and journal entries for period-end and year-end reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and GAAP, maintaining financial integrity

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and IT systems

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial consolidation of complex data sets

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Must be eligible to reside and work in Canada
