At Adecco Professional, our client, a medical facility has partnered with us to recruit for an interim Accountant job opening in Toronto, ON. This full-time, 2-month temporary opportunity is best suited for someone who brings passion to be an integral part of the accounting team and is self-driven to make things happen efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for a busy desk with all the hands-on, day-to-day full-cycle accounting functions while supporting with a system implementation.

For this Accountant job opening in Toronto, ON some of the highlights of the role include, but are not limited to: 

• Reporting of monthly accounting and financial reporting functions – this includes the full month-end close process

• Perform various reconciliations and monitor the performance of the processes in place

• Journal entry preparation for monthly reporting on areas such as premiums, tax, reinsurance and more

• Perform variance analysis and reporting

• Support the AP and AR functions being hands on in these functions with the team

• Audit preparation and ensuring compliance

• Support with a data conversion project with testing and verifying transfers from QBO to NetSuite.

• Assist with other accounting related functions as required.

The selected incumbent for the Accountant job opening in Toronto, ON will meet the following requirements: 

• 3+ years of full-cycle Accounting experience.

• You are technically savvy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including both NetSuite and QuickBooks (QBO preferred).

• A hands-on, action-oriented problem solver who can assess alternatives and implement solutions.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills and take ownership and accountability to the responsibilities. Note this includes experience and confidence.

• Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• You are organized, great at managing your time and prioritizing responsibilities.
