Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Reconditioning Operator to work for our client in Delta, BC. In this role you will be responsible for cleaning, repairing, and stocking formwork forms and systems. You will ensure that safety and quality standards are maintained within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, scrape, and reface panels: You will perform detailed cleaning and maintenance of panels to ensure they are ready for use.

  • Remove dents and fix bends: Repair materials to restore them to full operational capacity.

  • Record consumables needed for repairs: Document all materials required for repairs according to Doka’s standards.

  • Receive trucks and document loads: Take pictures and document materials as they are received.

  • Unload materials: Safely unload materials to designated work stations.

  • Handle and count formwork material: Clean and repair minor defects in formwork materials.

  • Pack and store items: Pack items in standard packaging and store them in the yard.

  • Process returns: Use Doka Apps or software to efficiently process returned items.

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness: Keep the yard and work area organized and clean.

  • Use tools and equipment safely: Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all tools and equipment.

  • Inspect and classify material damages: Record and classify material damages accurately.

  • Place and return equipment properly: Ensure equipment is returned to its designated storage location.

  • Manage consumables: Inform supervisors about the status of consumables to avoid shortages.

  • Comply with Doka standards: Follow bundling and stacking requirements, maintaining quality, safety, and productivity.

  • Perform inventory counts: Accurately count orders and returns, assisting with inventory counts.

  • Use safety equipment: Consistently use approved safety equipment.

  • Obtain continual training: Stay updated with product knowledge and seek clarification when needed.

  • Manage material logistics: Ensure proper storage and avoid congestion in the flow of goods.

  • Dispose of damaged materials properly: Follow company policies for disposing of damaged or scrap materials.

  • Mark containers and shelves accurately: Ensure proper product information is marked on containers and shelves.

  • Perform lifting tasks safely: Use appropriate equipment for heavy lifting tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • Minimum high school graduate/diploma;

  • Previous experience in a construction or building materials yard a plus;

  • Above average communication skills including a first-rate command of English (speaking, reading, writing) in order to comply with safety standards on the job;

  • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills;

  • Team player;

  • Willing and able to learn new products, concepts and techniques;

  • Able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
