Reach Truck Operator

Adecco is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Reach Truck Operator for a temporary contract position in Trenton, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating reach trucks and forklifts in a warehouse setting. • Pay rate: $19/hour.

• Location: Trenton, ON

• Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

• Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate reach trucks and forklifts to move materials and products within the warehouse.

• Load and unload trucks, stack and unstack pallets, and perform other material handling tasks as needed.

• Conduct routine forklift inspections, ensuring they are in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.

• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.

• Collaborate with warehouse team members to achieve operational goals and maintain high productivity levels.

• Travel between Trenton and Belleville, as required, and must have a valid driver’s license.

• Work in temperature-controlled and refrigerated environments as needed.

• Be flexible to work overtime when necessary to meet customer demands.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• At least 2 years of experience operating a reach truck or forklift in a warehouse setting.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse material handling procedures and a proven ability to operate various types of forklifts and reach trucks.

• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items safely and efficiently.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks to ensure inventory is handled correctly.

• Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with other warehouse personnel.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with iPads and RF scanners.
