Quality Engineer
Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's team in Ajax, ON. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards, leading quality improvement initiatives, and interfacing with various teams to enhance product quality. Pay rate: $30-$35/hour.
Location: Ajax, ON
Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities:
Serve as the quality focal point responsible for ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, and engineering specifications.
Lead the resolution of customer-driven corrective action requests and Quality Improvement Plans related to customer escapes.
Interface with customers on the submission and approval of product/process documentation.
Act as a liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, and Supplier groups to enhance product quality.
Identify and lead internal quality improvement initiatives to achieve business targets.
Prepare detailed Quality Performance materials for internal and customer program reviews.
Provide support for quality delivery documentation as required.
Manage customer inquiries related to quality and product traceability.
Support customer audits as necessary.
Collaborate with production quality and assembly teams on issues impacting customers.
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience with a focus on Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement; some experience in Product Design and Control Systems is an asset.
Strong decision-making ability.
Above-average written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with Aerospace Regulatory requirements and AS9100/ISO9001:2000 quality systems.
SAP experience is a definite asset.
Program/Project Management skills are desirable.
Hands-on experience in APQP, SPC, FMEA, and 8D is a plus.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Good interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with MS Office.
