Adecco is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a full-time opportunity with one of our leading manufacturing partners in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in mechanical and electronic inspection, looking to contribute to the production of high-precision, high-reliability equipment.
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will perform rigorous inspections, verify critical components, and ensure all parts meet strict manufacturing standards. You will serve as an essential quality gate, ensuring that only compliant raw materials and assemblies enter production. Your work directly supports product reliability, long-term performance, and overall manufacturing excellence.
Location: Ottawa, ON
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year + bonus opportunities
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday (standard business hours)
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed incoming inspections on raw materials, PCBA components, and custom-machined housings
Verify 100% compliance with specifications prior to production release
Create and maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
Manage material certifications, non-conformance reports, and quality logs
Track and evaluate supplier performance to ensure consistency and compliance
Use precision measurement tools and CAD data to confirm component specifications
Verify high-tolerance mechanical parts meet requirements for waterproof and pressure-rated assemblies
Identify recurring component issues and support root cause analysis
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing processes
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Technician or Technology diploma preferred
8+ years of experience in quality assurance or inspection, ideally within electronics or precision manufacturing
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, soldering, and bonding
Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with PLM/ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Collaborative, detail-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Background working with waterproof or pressure-rated assemblies
Knowledge of IPC standards for electronic assembly
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Understanding of environmental and electronics testing protocols
