Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly motivated Project Engineer – Civil with experience in slurry wall construction, subsurface infrastructure, or geotechnical engineering to join our client’s dynamic team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will support the planning, design, and execution of complex civil engineering projects, focusing primarily on deep foundation systems, slurry trenching, and subsurface barriers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in the oil and gas sector to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical and regulatory standards.

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Shift: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Support tender development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection

  • Coordinate sourcing of long-lead equipment and support FEED contractor activities

  • Develop key project deliverables and interface plans

  • Manage scope changes, issues resolution, and authorization of change requests

  • Ensure project execution aligns with specifications and standards

  • Facilitate smooth transitions between project stages

  • lead application of project management systems within the team

  • Act as a key interface between internal teams and contractors

Qualifications:

  • 10–12 years of civil engineering experience with specific slurry wall/subsurface experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA

  • Experience across engineering, construction, and project controls functions

  • Strong knowledge of design standards, specs, and best practices

  • Effective communicator with leadership and coordination skills

  • Proficient in MS Office; able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
