Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to oversee our client's construction projects. Our client is Canada’s one of top general contracting companies based out of Calgary.

Our client is a prominent construction firm dedicated to delivering excellence in commercial, institutional & Multifamily projects. Operating in Calgary, they are committed to innovation, sustainability, and exceeding client expectations. We are currently seeking a seasoned Project Director to join their team and contribute to the success of our diverse and exciting projects.

Job Description:

The Project Director, leading a team of project managers, is responsible for delivering construction services for assigned projects. In addition to overseeing project execution, the Project Director plays a key role in business development. They lead, guide, and mentor multiple project teams and ensure coordination to achieve performance goals related to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach internal project teams to meet project goals.

  • Identify and allocate the necessary resources to complete projects in line with commitments.

  • Provide guidance on bids, budgeting, and pre-construction services.

  • Oversee client relationships to ensure positive experiences and ongoing partnerships once projects are awarded.

  • Offer leadership in preconstruction phases, pushing the team to deliver cost-effective designs.

  • Ensure alignment between project execution plans and core business values, overseeing objectives, risks, budgets, staffing, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Promote a strong safety culture in line with company strategies and values.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in construction.

  • Gold Seal Certification (GSC) is an asset

  • Knowledge of LEED standards.

  • 15 or more years of experience in commercial construction.

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in construction project management.

  • Proven success with multiple project delivery methods.

  • Strong negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.
