Production Technician
Adecco is seeking a Production Technician for a globally-known company in Ottawa, ON.
As a Production Technician, you'll formulate and assemble chemical solutions, manage records, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Key duties include safe handling of materials, inventory counts, supporting R&D, and coordinating product distribution. You'll also focus on time management and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate should have a diploma in biological science or equivalent experience and at least 3 years in a chemical laboratory.

Responsibilities:
Formulate bulk chemical solutions; perform dispensing and labeling operations in a lab environment following established work instructions.
Assemble product components based on supervisor instruction, work instructions and customer order requirements.
Accurate completion of work orders, batch records, quality records and lab reports.
Meet quality and regulatory requirements in relation to product assembly. Carry out assigned tasks and communicate completion to supervisor in a timely manner.
Safely handle and effectively store raw materials and finished products for adherence to regulatory and safety requirements.
Perform inventory cycle counts.
Support R&D and Engineering for validation activities related to laboratory operations.
Carry out and support non-conformance report investigations related to laboratory operations.
Time management & prioritization: independent, organized approach to fast-paced, multiple concurrent assignment environment.
Detail oriented: right the first time approach.
Accountability: deadline-oriented, commitments to internal customers must be met.
Chemical aptitude: hands-on experience with equipment and production processes.
Compliance: all activities must comply with medical device regulations (FDA, GMP, ISO 13485)
May perform some calibration or verification of chemical production and inspection equipment.
Prepare and package bulk products for distribution. Communicate with other departments to facilitate distribution of prepared materials.
Other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate for a Production Technician.
Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Diploma in biological science or equivalent combination of relevant job experience and training.
Minimum 3 years in a chemical laboratory environment.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge of quality management system such as ISO9001 or ISO13485.
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Ability to complete repetitive tasks and work in a team atmosphere
Ability to understand and follow procedures and processes
Good communication skills and confidence in highlighting quality issues.
Must be physically fit and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Organizational skills required
Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
A reliable team player with a great attitude
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Good attendance and punctuality are essential.
