Adecco is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our client’s team for a temporary position in Whitby, ON. In this role, you will act as a frontline leader, supporting and guiding production teams within a unionized environment to achieve operational excellence.

Working on a rotating two-week schedule (6:30am-2:30pm / 2:30am-10:30pm), you will coach team members and leaders on best practices, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.   • Pay rate: $37/hour.

  • Location: Whitby, ON

Responsibilities:

  • Work safely at all times, report hazards, maintain cleanliness of the work area, and ensure full compliance with PPE and health & safety standards

  • Provide daily direction and coaching to Team Leaders and Team Members in a High-Performance Work Team (HPWT) environment

  • Address and resolve quality concerns, report supplier defects, and communicate customer feedback to improve product quality and minimize scrap

  • Plan and schedule daily production activities while ensuring correct processes and procedures are followed

  • Coordinate cross-training and ensure effective job rotation with Team Leaders

  • Coach team leaders and members to improve key performance indicators (KPIs); provide disciplinary action when required

  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve customer service

  • Collaborate with other departments to prevent delays and align with company policies and goals

  • Prepare and maintain production reports, logs, and related documentation

  • Ensure compliance with legislative and workplace standards: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, Labour Relations

  • Uphold the highest standards in customer service, quality, and operational excellence

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production supervision within the manufacturing or automotive industry

  • Proven experience supervising a unionized workforce

  • High school diploma required

  • Strong leadership and time management skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
