Production Supervisor

Adecco is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our client’s team for a temporary position in Whitby, ON. In this role, you will act as a frontline leader, supporting and guiding production teams within a unionized environment to achieve operational excellence.
Working on a rotating two-week schedule (6:30am-2:30pm / 2:30am-10:30pm), you will coach team members and leaders on best practices, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. Pay rate: $37/hour.

Responsibilities:
Work safely at all times, report hazards, maintain cleanliness of the work area, and ensure full compliance with PPE and health & safety standards
Provide daily direction and coaching to Team Leaders and Team Members in a High-Performance Work Team (HPWT) environment
Address and resolve quality concerns, report supplier defects, and communicate customer feedback to improve product quality and minimize scrap
Plan and schedule daily production activities while ensuring correct processes and procedures are followed
Coordinate cross-training and ensure effective job rotation with Team Leaders
Coach team leaders and members to improve key performance indicators (KPIs); provide disciplinary action when required
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve customer service
Collaborate with other departments to prevent delays and align with company policies and goals
Prepare and maintain production reports, logs, and related documentation
Ensure compliance with legislative and workplace standards: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, Labour Relations
Uphold the highest standards in customer service, quality, and operational excellence
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Minimum 5 years of experience in production supervision within the manufacturing or automotive industry
Proven experience supervising a unionized workforce
High school diploma required
Strong leadership and time management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
