Adecco is currently hiring several full-time Production Supervisors to join our clients manufacturing team in Belleville, ON. In this role you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performance production team across multiple lines. This role ensures efficient operations, adherence to quality and safety standards, and achievement of production goals while fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Pay Rate: $33.00/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production team on multiple lines.

  • Lead by example and train, develop, and inspire production team.

  • Be instrumental in developing a high-performance team where all team members work coherently to “win” together.

  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Coordinate production to ensure product is ready per customer requirements.

  • Develop plans for efficient use of material, machines, and labor.

  • Responsible to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for the line.

  • Manage first contact with operators on any quality or operational efficiency issues to ensure they are managed appropriately.

  • Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.

  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and directs set-up and adjustments of machines.

  • Track and manage operators working hours, attendance and performance issues.

  • Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.  Escalate workplace hazards and incidents and participate in incident investigations and RCA.

  • Be proficient in machine set up, operation and troubleshooting.  Acquire technical knowledge to oversee the production areas in the facility.

  • Responsible for daily input into production reporting systems.

  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in a relevant role

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a food production environment

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems

  • An ambitious self-starter with strong desire to grow professionally

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite of Applications), and instructional software

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of management

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to encourage, mentor, train, and lead staff

  • Strong adherence to meeting productivity, quality and safety requirements.

  • Ability to work shift work as required.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
