Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated and skilled 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer to join our client’s team in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and monitoring mechanical, electrical, and operational systems while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

  • Pay Rate: $30 - $50/per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain boilers, compressors, pumps, HVAC systems, and other equipment.

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment functionality and identify potential issues.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various systems.

  • Monitor and adjust system controls to maintain optimal performance.

  • Maintain accurate records, including logs of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair activities.

  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of operating procedures and maintenance schedules.

  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • Valid 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate (recognized by Technical Safety BC).

  • Proven experience in power plant or industrial operations is an asset.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Physically demanding work, including standing, climbing, and lifting heavy equipment.

  • Exposure to high temperatures, noise, and other industrial conditions.
