Planning and Scheduling Lead

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly skilled Planning and Scheduling Lead (PL) to oversee all aspects of project scheduling, progress measurement, and forecasting for our client, a leader in the oil and gas industry, in Calgary, AB. The PL provides technical expertise to ensure the development and maintenance of accurate, realistic, and fully integrated schedules. This role supports contractor organizations, drives schedule optimization, and ensures alignment with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), project estimates, and overall Project Execution Plan. You should excel at identifying schedule risks, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions to maintain project performance.
Pay Rate: $104.00/hour
Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities:
Lead project scheduling, progress measurement, and change management activities.
Oversee contractor schedule development and ensure compliance with project controls requirements.
Develop and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 integrated project schedules.
Review and endorse contractor baseline schedules, updates, and forecasts.
Identify schedule risks, analyze trends, and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
Evaluate schedule impacts resulting from project changes and incorporate approved changes into the master schedule.
Monitor contractor performance against baseline schedules and support resolution of schedule deviations.
Ensure subcontractor schedules and progress measurement systems are fully integrated.
Provide schedule analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support project leadership decisions.
Participate in bid evaluations focusing on schedule deliverables.
Ensure schedules reflect external interfaces such as permitting, regulatory milestones, and stakeholder requirements.
Provide mentoring, guidance, and direction to scheduling staff (owner and contractor).
Capture and document schedule‑related Lessons Learned.
Maintain close collaboration with functional organizations and project controls teams.
Promote capital efficiency and continuous improvement across all scheduling activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
Prior experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
Strong background in Project Controls, Planning, and Scheduling.
Supervisory or team‑lead experience required.
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (required).
Strong analytical, consulting, mentoring, and communication skills.
Ability to work in diverse environments, including overseas project sites.
Highly adaptable with strong multitasking ability and responsiveness to urgent requests.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
