Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly organized and detail-oriented Planning and Scheduling Engineer to join our client’s team in Sarnia, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. You should have strong analytical skills and experience in project planning within engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries.

  • Pay Rate: $92.00/hour

  • Location: Sarnia, ON

  • Shift: 5 days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular contact with project teams and with the Functional Organization

  • Maintain close liaison with planning engineers in the project teams

  • Provide direction and feedback to Project planning and control engineers on schedule aspects of the project

  • Drives and promotes capital efficiency in Project Services and on stewarded projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management

  • 15+ years in Project Controls, Project Services and/or Planning/Scheduling

  • Previous downstream / manufacturing / refining / midstream experience preferred

  • Strong technical mentoring skills for other P&S Engineers

  • Ability to work well with many team members distributed across different sites/time zones

  • May assist with projects across Canada, potential for wide-variety of projects big and small, though focus would be on Refinery projects in Ontario

  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills

  • Advanced competency in Primavera Project Planner (P6)

  • Adaptability to changing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
