Adecco is actively seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist (SAP) to join our client’s dynamic team in Vancouver, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in the SAP Payroll module to drive payroll operations, enhance process efficiencies, and ensure timely, accurate payroll delivery across the organization.

  • Pay Rate: $62k-$68k/year.

  • Location: Vancouver, BC

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for both salaried and hourly employees, including handling monthly and annual bonuses.

  • Analyze existing payroll systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and customizing the SAP Payroll module to meet business needs.

  • Prepare payroll-related reports, including earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and disability payments. Handle year-end employee tax forms and submit government filings on time.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to ensure payroll and benefits services meet organizational needs and compliance standards.

  • Ensure SAP accurately reflects the employee base, including salary, hourly wages, benefits, and pension percentages.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards in all payroll matters.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Holds a college diploma in Business Administration or equivalent, and/or National Payroll Institute certification (Payroll Compliance Certificate or equivalent).

  • Has up to 5 years of hands-on experience with the SAP Payroll module and is an expert in its use.

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory standards, and payroll best practices.

  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.

  • Can manage multiple projects or assignments and is skilled at handling pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Shows thorough research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex issues with a balanced perspective.
