Millwright - Red Seal

Adecco is actively seeking skilled and motivated Millwright - Red Seal to join our clients team in Abbotsford, BC. This full-time role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and troubleshooting machinery to ensure minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have experience with food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance, a Red Seal Millwright License, and strong skills in electrical and PLC technologies.

• Pay Rate: $42/hour.

• Location: Abbotsford, BC

• Shifts: Midnight shift

• Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance inspections on production line equipment.

• Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime.

• Troubleshoot machinery and act with urgency on on-floor calls and emergencies.

• Identify and order spare parts as needed.

• Complete a work schedule in cooperation with Maintenance & Production Supervisors.

• Act as a liaison for contractors conducting repairs within the plant.

• Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time, including daily time sheets, pre-operational forms, maintenance logs, and work orders.

• Perform various skilled tasks such as electrical work, PLC programming, refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, and fabricating as required.

• Comply with Health and Safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety standards, and Environmental guidelines.

• Work in conditions under 10°C.

Requirements:  

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

• Red Seal Millwright License is required.

• 3-5 years of experience with food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of electronics, PLC technologies, and troubleshooting skills.

• Understanding of programmable controls and computer literacy.

• Additional Skilled Trade Licenses are an asset.

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

• Ability to assess decisions and work effectively under pressure.
