Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Mechanical Assembler for our client in Ottawa, ON.
As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll assemble components, operate equipment, support the Team Lead, manage inventory, and handle technical issues while ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant experience, the ability to interpret kitting protocols and process documents, and a working knowledge of product inspections and quality concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembles components according to specific drawings and procedures and process documentation

  • Operates various manufacturing equipment according to documented processes and defined schedules and loads

  • Uses pneumatic tools and equipment as well as hand tools for assembly purposes and provides support to the Team Lead

  • Identifies, articulates and escalates problems for Technical Support and assists in gathering requested information

  • Uses a variety of current software to properly execute required computer transactions, such as SFDC, Agile, and Excel

  • Orders and ensures any printed labels are correct and transacted to the correct planned order on tracker

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards

  • Properly executes on inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions

  • Identifies and applies ECO modifications or other instructions

  • Supports other company requirements when necessary

Qualifications &  Skills:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ related work experience

  • Able to read, interpret and comprehend kitting protocols, process documents, and instructions

  • Must be customer focused and able to articulate technical and/or quality issues to Team Lead

  • Working knowledge in product inspections, quality issues or concerns related to customer products

  • Keyboarding knowledge and good leadership skills to provide training and guidance to team members

  • Willing to work with internal teams to identify process improvements and implement continuous improvement plans
