Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Material Planner to join our client’s team in Burlington, ON. This full-time role, paying $40 per hour, is responsible for managing materials, procurement, and inventory to support both ongoing production and new product initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure timely availability of materials, optimize inventory levels, and collaborate across teams to meet operational and customer requirements.
  • Pay rate: $40/hour.
  • Location: Burlington, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Job type: 12-month contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and project teams to manage inventory and meet customer requirements
  • Participate in New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) to secure materials and vendor contracts
  • Monitor market trends, negotiate with suppliers, and manage performance, pricing, and PPV
  • Forecast material demand, control inventory levels, and prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Oversee work orders, coordinate material movement, and maintain accurate ERP records
  • Provide reporting on material usage, shortages, and support inventory forecasting
  • Manage make-to-stock programs and ensure material availability aligns with project timelines
  • Communicate delivery status and issue production orders to the shop floor
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement/materials experience in a project-based or manufacturing environment
  • CSCP, SCMP, or APICS designation preferred
  • Proven experience in material planning, inventory control, and supply chain management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and material planning software
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
