Market Development Manager – Asian Channel
Adecco is actively seeking dynamic and results-driven Market Development Manager for our client, a leader in the consumer goods industry, to drive growth within the Asian channel. Located in Scarborough, ON, this full-time position offers a competitive salary of $90,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans, analyzing market opportunities, and supporting sales initiatives to enhance market share and profitability.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs to ensure sales growth, gain market share, and enhance profitability.
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize competitive impacts.
Assist in the planning and implementation of advertising and promotional activities across various channels, including print, direct mail, and online platforms.
Coordinate promotional activities with distributors and the sales team, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
Manage promotional budgets and processes, including credit notes and payments.
Develop pricing strategies that reflect market conditions and company goals.
Oversee trade shows and distributor events, managing logistics, sales materials, and product demonstrations.
Analyze research data from various sources, including AC Nielsen, and provide insights to inform strategy.
Support the sales team with presentations, sell sheets, in-store demonstrations, and point-of-purchase materials.
Monitor and report on competitor activities and market reactions to advertising and merchandising efforts.
Manage purchase orders, track budgets, and oversee the NPD process, ensuring timely execution of new products and initiatives.
Lead a Channel Marketing Assistant, guiding them in their tasks related to new product development and customer service.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
Proficient in new product processes, packaging design, marketing research, and trade promotions.
Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, multimedia graphic design tools, and SAP experience is a plus.
