Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our clients team in Fernie, BC. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating contractors, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. If you have a background in heavy industrial maintenance, technical expertise with mobile mining equipment, and a proven ability to supervise in an industrial setting, we want to hear from you!

  • Location: Fernie, BC

  • Shifts: 7 days on – 7 days off

  • Job type: 7-month contract with possibility of extension

Detailed Job Description:

  • Maintain a detailed plan and schedule for time-sensitive work, reporting progress and risks to leadership.

  • Supervise contractors, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget execution of projects.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Manage parts and materials as per the Materials Management Plan.

  • Coordinate contractor efforts, schedule, and reporting.

  • Provide site support and assist with tasks for effective work execution.

Candidate's Profile:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum of five years of similar role experience.

  • High School Diploma, trade certificate, or relevant degree/diploma preferred.

  • Proven ability to coordinate contractors in an industrial mining environment.

  • Experience in heavy industrial maintenance or fabrication facilities.

  • Technical background with mobile mining equipment.

  • Supervisory experience in mechanical or electrical capacity is beneficial.

  • Trade experience with mobile mining equipment, especially haul trucks, is advantageous.

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
