Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Maintenance Planner to support maintenance operations at our client’s oil and gas facility in Rainbow Lake, Alberta. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing detailed maintenance plans across multiple trade groups—including General Maintenance, Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E), and Mechanical—to ensure operational integrity and reliability in a northern, remote environment.
This position requires you to have at least five years of SAP planning experience, strong technical acumen, and a commitment to safety and zero-incident performance. A Journeyman Trade certification in a relevant oil and gas discipline is preferred.

Shift: 14 days on / 14 days off – 11.43-hour shifts

Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities across all trade disciplines (General Maintenance, I&E, Mechanical).
Develop detailed job plans, work packages, and task lists for repetitive and routine tasks, as well as turnaround activities.
Manage and refine preventive maintenance (PM) programs to align with company standards and operational goals.
Collaborate with Maintenance Coordinators, Senior Trades, and Operations teams to review, prioritize, and plan maintenance activities.
Partner with Operations for turnaround planning and to ensure alignment with production goals.
Facilitate weekly maintenance review meetings with Operations, Maintenance Coordinators, and Senior Coordinators to:
Review ongoing and upcoming work.
Set priorities for the next two weeks.
Identify new or overlooked maintenance requirements.
Participate in monthly cost reviews and annual budget planning with Maintenance and Operations leadership.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and asset information in SAP.
Support the execution of the Conventional Operations Maintenance Strategy to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
Drive the sustainment of License to Operate programs and continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Promote a strong safety culture, adhering to company HS&E standards and zero-incident expectations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Codes, Standards, and Regulations applicable to energy industry operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of planning experience using SAP in an oil and gas or industrial environment.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Journeyman Trade Certificate in a related field.
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Maintenance, Engineering, or related discipline.
Power Engineering Certificate (4th Class).
Gas Process Operations (GPO) / Production Field Operations (PFO) levels I–IV or A–D, OGPO (NAIT).
Minimum 5 years of experience with maintenance philosophies, standards, and best practices in the energy industry.
Working knowledge of industry Codes, Regulations, design and construction standards, and mechanical/electrical/instrumentation systems.
Experience in plant and production operations.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer literacy.
