Adecco, in partnership with our client,  is currently hiring a full-time experienced and highly organized Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material‑flow activities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production support, accurate inventory control, and on‑time delivery while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

  • Pay Rate: $82,000 (depending on experience)

  • Location: Bowmanville, ON

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving, transportation planning, and material flow.

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that support production schedules and meet customer delivery expectations.

  • Coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods with carriers, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Optimize freight costs through rate negotiations, efficient load planning, and shipment consolidation.

  • Oversee warehouse activities including material handling, storage, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy.

  • Maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

  • Ensure warehouse layout, racking, and processes support safe and efficient operations.

  • Monitor and report KPIs such as inventory accuracy, pick accuracy, dock‑to‑stock times, and on‑time shipments.

  • Supervise, coach, and schedule warehouse and logistics team members.

  • Deliver training on safety protocols, equipment operation, inventory processes, and ERP systems.

  • Conduct performance reviews and support staff skill development and cross‑training.

  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with OHSA, WHMIS, transportation regulations, and internal policies.

  • Promote and enforce proper safety practices in warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.

  • Oversee safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, streamline workflow, and reduce inefficiencies.

  • Lead or participate in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support ERP upgrades or system enhancements to strengthen logistics visibility and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).

  • 5+ years of logistics or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and shipping/receiving workflows.

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

  • Forklift certification is an asset.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Analytical mindset with solid planning and decision‑making abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Safety‑focused and detail‑oriented

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
