Legal Assistant
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide essential administrative support to our client’s legal team in Vancouver, BC. In this role you will assist with preparing legal documents, managing case files, coordinating meetings, and conducting legal research.

Shift: Mon-Fri @8am-4pm (full time)

Responsibilities:
New file opening.
Preparation of all documentation relating to transactions using BC Online.
Providing secretarial support including; proofreading, revision and preparation of documents
Act as a liaison between relevant internal and/or external parties.
Working with MyLTSA.
Preparing purchase, sale, and refinance documents.
Reviewing contracts, financing documents, lease and land title documents.
Conducting due diligence searches.
Maintain client contact ensuring fast turnaround.
Managing volumes of filing and file organization, electronic and paper.
Audits and conflicts searches.
Expense requisitions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
A minimum of 4+ years of relevant legal assistant experience
Graduate of a recognized legal administrative program or legal professional environment equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent proofreading skills (ability to check typed material for grammatical, typographical, spelling, word usage and format errors).
Legal experience in private client services, tax department, wealth management, wills and trusts and corporate reorganization
Not for profit legal experience.
Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to take initiative.
Positive attitude and detail oriented.
Problem solving with minimal supervision.
Handling and prioritizing workload independently.
Meeting strict deadlines.
Communicating in a professional manner with lawyers and other team members.
