Adecco is currently seeking a dynamic Labour Relations Manager to join our client’s team in Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary of $135,000 per annum. The successful candidate will lead strategic labour relations initiatives, build strong union-management partnerships, and provide expert guidance on complex employment matters.

- Promote a positive and proactive labour relations culture while building strong partnerships with union representatives and stakeholders
- Design and execute strategies for collective bargaining and agreement renewals
- Act as the organization’s representative in negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and labour tribunals
- Oversee disciplinary processes and resolve employee grievances efficiently
- Provide expert guidance on interpreting collective agreements, employment policies, and legal requirements
- Manage workplace investigations related to harassment, discrimination, and violence, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies
- Work closely with internal and external legal counsel on complex labour relations issues
- Support mergers and acquisitions through workforce planning and smooth transition management
- Monitor the labour relations budget and track key performance metrics to ensure effectiveness
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field; Master’s in Industrial Relations is an asset
- 10+ years of progressive experience in labour relations and HR within unionized, multi-jurisdictional environments
- Proven track record leading collective bargaining, labour negotiations, and grievance resolution
- Deep understanding of Ontario employment and labour laws; familiarity with Quebec and New York State regulations is an asset
- Strong leadership presence with exceptional conflict resolution and strategic problem-solving skills
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal; bilingual (English/French) preferred
- Proficient with digital collaboration tools and office productivity software, ideally Google Workspace
- Experienced in mergers and acquisitions with a focus on workforce transition planning
