Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled Journeyperson Machinist to join our team, working both in the field and in the shop for our client in Sparwood, BC. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of performing precision machining, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment in a variety of environments. You will troubleshoot and manufacture components using both manual and CNC machines while supporting field operations with on-site machining and equipment adjustments.

  • Pay Rate: $50.00 - $60.00/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Sparwood, BC

  • Shift: 7x7 rotation, 12-hour shifts

  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Machine components to specification using manual and CNC lathes, mills, and drill presses

  • Develop both simple and complex CNC programs (G-code and conversational)

  • Utilize CAD/CAM software for detailed tool path creation

  • Operate portable field boring and milling equipment at customer sites as needed

  • Perform quality checks using precision instruments including Faro Arm, Faro Tracker, and conventional tools

  • Set up and operate specialized machining equipment for high-tolerance work

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment

  • Collaborate with other trades and apprentices when required

  • Work overtime or variable shifts as needed

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Machinist Trade Certification required (Red Seal preferred)

  • 5+ years' experience programming CNC machinery with G-code

  • 5+ years' hands-on experience with horizontal and vertical boring mills using CNC controls

  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and tolerancing

  • Ability to calculate dimensions based on technical drawings and specifications

  • Valid driver’s license with no mine site access restrictions

  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs unassisted

  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
