Intermediate Environmental Scientist
Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with an expanding environmental management firm, specializing in the upstream oil and gas sector, is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join their Calgary team. This role involves significant fieldwork, conducting various environmental assessments, remediation, monitoring, and reclamation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate, execute, and report on Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments, as well as reclamation, remediation, risk assessment, soil and groundwater monitoring programs.
Develop and implement detailed work plans.
Analyze data and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
Review invoices and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to client requirements.
Contribute to the development, monitoring, and enhancement of QA/QC programs and tools in accordance with professional practice management standards.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
A degree or diploma in environmental sciences or a related field; professional designation or eligibility is advantageous.
Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations, guidelines, and directives pertinent to the upstream oil and gas sector in Alberta and Saskatchewan (knowledge of BC regulations is a plus).
Demonstrated field experience related to the outlined responsibilities.
Strong multitasking, planning, and organizational abilities.
A track record of exceeding client expectations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
