Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Industrial Electrical Technician - Millwright to join our client’s team and maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems across their facility in Scarborough, ON. This role involves working on various electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure that all operations run efficiently and meet safety standards.

Ideally, you will have a strong background in electrical systems and millwrighting with the ability to perform both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.

  • pay rate $38 an hour 

  • Shift time- Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday: 7:30 am to 2:00 pm

  • Location: Progress & Kennedy, Scarborough ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform General Electrical Maintenance: This includes inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.

  • Troubleshoot Electrical Issues: Using appropriate testing devices to diagnose and fix problems.

  • Repair and Replace Equipment: This involves working with electrical wiring, fixtures, and other equipment.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Regularly conducting maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures.

  • Follow Regulations: Adhering to the Canadian Electrical Code and local building regulations.

  • Utilize Tools and Manuals: Using hand tools, power tools, and manuals to complete tasks.

  • Install New Machinery: Setting up and aligning new industrial equipment using specialized tools like micrometers.

  • Repair and Replace Parts: Fixing or replacing defective machine parts.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical problems using precision measuring and testing instruments.

  • Relocate Machinery: Moving and setting up machinery at different locations within the facility.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Working with engineers and other construction workers to ensure machinery is installed and functioning correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Certified Millwright and Electrician (Red Seal required)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician or Millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of both electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Proficient in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Hands-on experience with motors, control systems, PLCs, and other electrical components.

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to install and repair equipment, such as hydraulic systems, bearings, and conveyors.

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
