Human Resources Manager ( Bilingual)
Adecco is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Manager for a full-time permanent role with our client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must be comfortable working from hybrid.
The Human Resources Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Work with hiring Managers at all stages of the recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
Ensure that hiring practices align with the organization's diversity and inclusion goals.
Develop and maintain talent acquisition strategies to attract top candidates.
Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
Support managers in addressing employee performance and conduct issues, helping to mediate conflicts when necessary.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful workplace culture.
Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development plans.
Work with managers to address performance issues, provide coaching, and implement performance improvement plans where necessary.
Support leadership in developing and implementing strategies for employee development and growth.
Track performance review timelines and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
Assess organizational training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of appropriate training programs.
Encourage a culture of knowledge-sharing and skills development.
Assist in organizing training programs and workshops/sessions for staff development, capacity-building, and knowledge sharing.
Help identify opportunities for staff development that align with the organization's mission and objectives.
Administer employee compensation programs, including salary reviews and benefits packages.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compensation trends and regulations, ensuring Farm Radio International remains competitive and compliant.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment, claims, and inquiries.
Provide advice and support to employees regarding benefits, leave, and other HR-related queries.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in the organization's operating regions.
Handle employee health, safety, and wellness programs, including ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
Support in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, ensuring they are clear and accessible to all staff.
Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, contracts, and other employee documentation.
Manage HR software and databases to ensure proper tracking of employee data. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Provide regular reports on HR metrics and trends to senior leadership.
Work closely with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
Contribute to the development of workforce planning and organizational development strategies.
Support initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Human Resources Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:
College or University degree in Human Resources
HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL, CHRE) is a strong asset.
At least 5 years of experience in a HR Manager role, ideally in the non-profit sector.
In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
Experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and benefits administration.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse, multicultural teams and stakeholders.
Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in the Google Suite of products.
Bilingual (English/French) communication skills is essential.
