Adecco is currently recruiting for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a full-time, permanent position located in Richmond, BC.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is a skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Location: Richmond, BC

  • Type of Contract: Permanent | Full-time

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (40 hours/week, with occasional weekends and on-call availability)

  • Pay Rate: $45–$46/hour (open to negotiation)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty machinery

  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues

  • Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems

  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records

  • Ensure all work meets safety and operational standards

  • Support other heavy-duty mechanics with machinery repairs when required

Profile Sought:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Proven experience as a heavy vehicle or commercial vehicle mechanic

  • Strong knowledge of semi-truck and trailer systems

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Commercial Vehicle Inspector ticket

  • Good communication and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
