Heavy General Labourer (Shipper/Loader)

Adecco is currently hiring several full-time Heavy General Labourers (Shipper/Loader) to join our client’s warehouse team. In this physically demanding role, you’ll be responsible for safely handling, loading, and unloading heavy materials and shipments, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities:

• Load and unload heavy shipments and materials safely and efficiently.

• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as required (training/certification may be provided).

• Prepare and stage outgoing shipments according to schedules and shipping documentation.

• Accurately verify and document inbound and outbound shipments.

• Follow established procedures for handling goods, including weight distribution and load security.

• Perform manual lifting, stacking, and moving of heavy products as required.

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and shipping area.

• Adhere to all health and safety policies, ensuring safe working conditions at all times.

• Report equipment issues, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.

• Support other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, loading, or warehouse operations is preferred.

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).

• Forklift certification/license considered an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

• Flexible to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
