Heavy-Duty Field Mechanic
Adecco is actively seeking a Heavy-Duty Field Mechanic on behalf of our client in Carleton Place, ON. The position is a full-time role with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanic who enjoys working with heavy machinery and delivering top-notch service to customers.
- Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour.

- Shift: Monday to Friday, weekends as needed on rotation

- Diagnosing and repairing dealership equipment, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Reconditioning machine systems and components.
- Providing on-site support, responding promptly to service calls, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of equipment and documenting repairs and parts used.
- Installing and configuring equipment as per customer specifications.
- Training customers on equipment use and maintenance.
- Collaborating with team members to improve service processes and maintaining organized inventory.
- Adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Journeyperson Certificate – Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET).
- Strong mechanical skills with hands-on repair experience.
- Own set of tools.
- Strong computer skills for diagnostics and reporting.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Graduation from a diesel or agricultural technology program (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment and related parts.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and inventory management software.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
- Previous service experience in the agriculture industry (preferred).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in field service operations.
