Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Travel and Membership Coordinator to support the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and assist in facilitating patient travel and membership coordination for the communities served. This role involves processing medical travel requests, securing approvals, managing arrangements for patients, and ensuring timely communication with relevant healthcare professionals. The coordinator will also assist in overseeing community-related services and support office administration processes.

  • Pay Rate: $21.36-$23.60/hour.

  • Location: Gold River, BC

  • Shift: 31.5 hours per week

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

  • Accommodations: 90 days provided.

Responsibilities:  

  • Processing medical travel requests and obtaining necessary approvals through the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).

  • Arranging transportation and accommodations for patients, ensuring all logistical details are taken care of (e.g., hotel, flight, transportation).

  • Managing invoices related to travel and accommodations and preparing monthly reports for the FNHA.

  • Collaborating with external organizations, such as NTC Nurses, Social Development, and the Council of Chief's assistant, to verify patient care plans and collect timesheets.

  • Assisting families with registering new babies and managing transfers for deceased community members.

  • Providing occasional coverage for the Health and Social Services Manager, supporting daily office administration tasks.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responding to urgent travel needs and handling sensitive documents in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Administration or Social Sciences from a recognized Canadian institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of office administration experience in a healthcare or social services setting, including handling confidential, time-sensitive documents and providing front-line client service.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. High attention to detail is crucial.

  • You should be compassionate, empathetic, and capable of handling stressful or urgent circumstances with a calm and supportive demeanor. You should be comfortable working independently, setting your priorities effectively.

  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are necessary.

  • An RCMP clearance (vulnerable sector check) is required.
